El dibujo de Miguel Ángel Sáez –tanto el de sus series más figurativas como el de sus obras más abstraídas o meramente alusivas a la realidad visible—nos declara que nuestro pintor no ha mantenido nunca una actitud mimética o empeñada en ser objetiva con las formas del mundo exterior. O lo que es lo mismo: Sáez siempre ha querido que hubiera en cada cuadro <<algo más>> que lo que dicen de por sí las figuras o los modelos que allí se representan. En ese <<algo más>> radica su originalidad, su interés y su transcendencia—su capacidad de hacer universal lo particular—.

Miguel Ángel Sáez’ drawings -those of the most figurative collections, those of his most abstracted artworks or those merely alluding to the visible reality- unveils our painter has never kept a mimetic attitude or neither has engaged to be objective about the outside world’s shapes. In other words, Sáez has always exhibited in his pieces of art that «something more» other than what figures or the models there represented express for themselves.
